Neighborhoods
The neighborhoods that make up south boston include among others Roxbury, South End, and Hyde Park.
The hilly neighborhood of Roxbury makes for great bicycling or touring on foot. A predominantly African American neighborhood, Roxbury is home to the African American history tour which takes visitors through significant sites of the civil rights movement. Visitors to Roxbury can also explore the lush vegetation for which this neighborhood has long been celebrated.
The South End is another coveted residential neighborhood. The main streets of Tretmont, Washington and Columbus offer an assortment of boutique shopping and specialty eating options.
Other neighborhoods inclued Dorchester, home to the Dorchester Day Parade, Mattapan, and Hyde Park.

From any of these home bases, you can access public transportation or drive to explore the offerings of each unique neighborhood.
