African American Patriots Tour
Celebrate Black History Month and take a historic tour in Boston. The African American Patriot Tour is a walking tour led by a costumed guide that lasts 90 minutes long. The tour takes visitors though historic events during the Revolution and contributions made by African-Americans that helped form America.
A costumed tour guide leads the African American Patriot Tour. The guide allows visitors to see history through the eyes of 18th century revolutionists such as Crispus Attucks, Phillis Wheatley, Prince Hall, Peter Salem and others. These guides are sailors, soldiers, writers, craftsmen and women of the day. These tours are every Friday and Saturday during February at 1 pm at the Boston Common.
There will be tales of intrigue and bravery, poetry and defiance by black Bostonians that will unfold during the much-admired 90 minute walking your.The Freedom Trail Foundation is excited to introduce this public tour to the scene this February. Bring the kids, classes and families to learn about some African American History impacting the formation of America.
Tickets are extremely affordable but are required to go on the tour. So contact the Freedom Trail Foundation to reserve your spot as a family or a group with a range of prices. If it is a group there is a minimum cost of $125. If there are individuals tickets range from $6 to $12. Remember these tours are only in February on Friday and Saturday afternoons at 1 pm departing from the Boston Common.
